HOW IT STARTED
From Concierge Hunts to Full Scale Aviation
Last Shadow is a Texas company run by veterans, founded in 2015 as a concierge helicopter hunting outfit. Since then we’ve grown into a full aviation operation, flying disaster response during Hurricanes Harvey and Irma, supporting land surveys and infrastructure work, and training federal agencies and law enforcement across the country. That same crew, fleet, and standard is what you fly with on every hunt and excursion.

We’re FAA Part 91 and 133 certified, run by veterans, flying a fleet of MD and Bell helicopters maintained to operational standards. The discipline we bring to disaster response and federal training is the discipline we bring to your day in the air: meticulous flight planning, real safety protocols, and crews who’ve done this in the most demanding environments on earth.
THE OPERATION

Last Shadow flies a fleet of MD and Bell helicopters configured for low and slow flight, maintained to the same standard we bring to disaster response and federal contract work. Every flight is planned, briefed, and equipped by our own crews. Nothing is improvised.

Flight Planning & Safety
FAA Part 91 and 133 certified. Every mission includes full flight planning, safety briefings, and protocols built over years of operational flying.
Gear & Equipment
Weapons, optics, communications, and all safety gear provided and fitted before takeoff, so you arrive ready to fly.
WHERE WE FLY
Home Base: The Texas Hill Country, an hour north of Austin
We operate out of Temple, Texas, with open Hill Country ranchland as our backyard: rolling terrain, thick brush, and the kind of country that makes for an unforgettable flight. It’s close enough for a day trip from Austin and remote enough to feel a world away. From here, we fly hunts, excursions, and training across the state and beyond.
